How we work with our suppliers

We expect our suppliers to share our commitment to ethical, safe and responsible business practices and to uphold our values in terms of safety, integrity, accountability, openness, simplicity and entrepreneurialism, as set out in Glencore's Code of Conduct and our responsible Sourcing Policy.

Our expectations

Our Supplier Code of Conduct explains our requirements and the expectations we have of our suppliers and of how they work with us. In addition, our Supplier Code of Conduct sets out the requirements for our suppliers of metals and minerals, in accordance with Annex I of the Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, 3rd edition (OECD Guide).

We require our suppliers to act in a manner consistent with our Glencore Supplier Code of Conduct when working with us. In addition, we encourage our suppliers to set expectations from their own suppliers in alignment with said Supplier Code of Conduct. We take our suppliers' compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct seriously. It will be incorporated into all supplier contracts, by means of reference.

Should a supplier identify a violation of the Supplier Code of Conduct, or facts and circumstances that indicate or could lead to a violation of the Supplier Code of Conduct, they must report this to the appropriate Glencore office or Industrial Asset Management Department within a reasonable amount of time, and must cooperate in any subsequent investigation.
